me and my son are staying with a older lady and there is no ac in the house its really hot and my son nose bleeds really bad when he gets too hot i need a emergancy place to stay till i can find a place for me and my so to live

I am in Columbus Ohio. 'm currently at the YWCA Family Center. They asked for me and my child to exit at 2:00 est. I have no family here and I don't know anyone who can help us. Please, if anyone can help us, I would be very greatful.
there are shelters everywhere you have to get online and find em Lincon Nebraska there is one called the rescue mission and it is Long Term and they dont kick you out.YOU have to be able to get to one and have back up plan if that don't work out.

They literally told you to get out??? I mean the only thing i can think of would be to call another homelss shelter like Faith Missons or something i am not sure or anything. But i jus think that is rediculous for them to tell you , you had to get out by 2:00 that is crazy but yeah call them and they will probably take you guys in there... Thanks

hello my name is paris s.and im in a very bad relationship w/kids father,and i need to get out.He hurts me in front of our 2 and 3 yearolds,and my 12 yearold who is not his,he put him out of the house and when i try to let him in like lastnight when it was cold and raining out,i got beaten,but this lady that stay up the street let my kid sleep in her house lastnight and i think god for that.i dont have fam,that i know of,i was addop.my addop mother died 6 years ago,befor i got with this man.but if u could help me i will make sure everyday uand your hubby will come home to a good meal,and clean home.i was a chef asst.for 10 years at Foundry Park Inn,downtown athens ga.so i know my way around the kitchen.im just wishing for a mic.so i can be with my kid on easter.please help us.......

I have some baby boy items from 3-6 months and I believe some 6 month stuff clothing and I have stage 2 food some enfamil some similac and some sample formula (parents choice?) anyhow, I tried to donate to faith missions, they are not accepting any used things right now. Millie.. I saw your plight and have you in my prayers. I recently brought a young mother and her child into my home. Their an absolute joy. Its been such a humbling experience.
I've sat by her as she's applied for every form of assistance imaginable. To be told.. sorry.. the pots empty. Check here.. check there.. One dead end reference after another. It was both exhausting and an eye opener I hadn't expected.
While there are tons of agencies managing funding thats come their way.. the primary drain appears to be the agency operation expenses. We recently spent a full day waiting at one such agency.. staffed to the brim.. to be told all the funding had been allocated over a month prior.
I see the numbers of homeless on the rise as a result of the downturned economy. For these people the only difference between the depression era homeless and the current is now it easily becomes a criminal offense. The cart well before the horse approach. If you make it a criminal offense .. the homeless numbers will decrease. Only the number of jobs have also so the idealogy behind the approach fails.
For every homeless child.. we as a nation.. a collective whole.. have failed. From the President of this country we love.. all the way down to each of us. We're failing.

hi im bree im 18 y/o i have a 2 y/o daughter we live with my abusive boyfriend but i cnt do this much longer i have to fight everyday i have a job but some days he chooses not to take me to work so i have to bum rides and then he accuses me of sleeping with whoever that person is male or female like i need help i have a college certificate and a high school diploma but he makes me feel as if im nothing and im so depressed and suicidal like i dont wanna live but i know i have to for my child but its so hard... i am in desperate need of help
there are plenty homeless shelters that you can go to for free and about not wanting to live thats not good to here wat ever you do please dont hurt your self over him doing things to u just get out the house.

hey bree i no the road that you are going down but if he hit you he couldnt love you and you have a little girl that need you so keep yourself living and breathing for her if you leave her who's gonna hug and kiss her and lover her like mommy.I have 3 kids ready tobe evicted but im not gonna give up i believe in the lord and he will see us threw he will see yall threw to.you need to get that lil princess out of there and start new just you and her my heart goes out to you be smart about it you can do it.i will keep you in my prayers

I am a pregnant 22 year old in need of immediate help with housing. I have a 3 year old son also. I need a place I can stay for maybe a few months until I can have my baby and be able to go back to work. I have a boyfriend who can help me but is currently detained for reasons that is not his fault. I have no idea when he will get out to help me and I have no one that can help me with a place or money wise. I am almost 6 months pregnant and have a 2 year old....my boyfriend is in GA working and I am in VA working, we are both staying with people while we get on our feet, but he is running out of time...I have been trying to get into a shelter for almost two months now, and he has two weeks left where he is currently living.
does anyone know of agencies that can assist with 1st months' rent? we both have jobs but we don't have enough timew to save up deposit money.
if we don't find a place at least for him in the enxt 2 weeks i don't what will happen. we have been struggling and homeless since august, and i am exhausted. we are not together because i had to go where i could get a job. i want to go back before our baby is born, but i have no home to bring my children to. any suggestions?

I beleive you can apply for low income housing. Also dont be afraid to seek help through a church. Even if you dont know them, you have to start somewhere. They will help you. I hope the very best for you and wish I could help you.

I am soon to be 29 at the end of January. I have a 1 year old little girl, and also a 9 year old. I am fortunate to have been married and have the support of my family. My heart goes out to you, and each other mother that posted on this site like you. I wish I could help but I live in Tennessee. I have clothing for a little girl if needed by you or someone else on this site. I will even ship it to you if you can provide me with a mailing address. The clothes are all stain free and folded neatly and cleaned before I put them away in plastic rubbermaid containers. They are yours if you need them. Please be safe and take care.

Idiot woman at social security - u know the kind - arrogant, better then everyone, treat clients like scum, humiliate you to tears, has my SSD that I was on for 5 yrs all messed up. Deliberately undermining others efforts to fix it. Supervisor won't ret'n calls! I became homeless just over missing ONE social security disability chk. Now living with daughter-Dayton. But she has 4 children. Want to go to Columbus. Very poor homeless services in Dayton; I heard Columbus is better. I am single, in my 50's, college educated, just can't do strenuous work right now. Had 2 recent hospitalizations including emergency surgery this month (Sept). Looking 4 homeless svcs that assist with permanent housing, I use no drugs, alcohol, don't even smoke cigarettes-Just too much soda pop. So don't need treatment facility. my name is julie i have recently relocated to GA from ny with my 3 young children due to a dv situation. at the time i relocated i had just recieved my income tax and was counting on that money to help me make a new start.
