You should never be turned away, but the sad truth is, you might be. Have you thought of an open-adoption? Living in a shelter is no way to raise your child. With an open adoption, all of your expenses are paid, and would still have contact with your child. My cousin adopted that way, and she is always in contact with the parents. They arrange to see the baby, she sends them pics, and has really bonded with the parents. There's no secrets, and as soon as they all agree, they are going to tell the child that she was adopted out of love, NOT because the mom and dad didn't want her. That is why my hubby and I are going that route. We have a one bedroom available rent free, with all medical, clothing, and all other essentials paid for the mom and baby. We can offer counseling before and after the baby is born, and can provide travel. If this is something you may want to discuss, please email me at ncmk1@aol.com. We have passed all checks, no drugs, alcohol, and we are financially stable. Whatever you decide, we wish you the very best.
