I just came here a month ago to stay with my sister because I lost my job and could not pay my rent and I have two boy's one just turnd four and the other one is two and a half. Now my sister is putting me and my kids out at the end of next month and we don't have the money to put the deposet and the rent for the first month because the little money I do get she is taking it all. i came to florida with my grandfather to have a vacation im only 15 butt 16 in september and i have seen some homeless people and i dont like it and my famliy wont stop and help them cause they say you dont know what they can do to you they could be lying to get money but i really want to help or they to find some people to help me start one some were here in arcadia FL cause every time i c them i want to give them everything i have soo please reply back i really want to help in some kinda way

ever since bill Clinton signed in the china free trade agreement on his last days in office millions of u.s.jobs have gone.
manufacturing jobs completely gone and millions now homeless.
our own government can send billions to other countries but doesn't seem to bother with the people in our own country.
we should teach these lost souls how to grow their own gardens and train them in survival.
like the old saying goes you can give a man a fish and feed him for a day or you can teach him to fish and feed him for a live time.
most of the homeless are people who lost jobs and don't have the training to survive on their own.
train them in survival and growing food.

I currently live in SW Florida. I am facing the very real possibility of being homeless with 3 small children and one on the way. My husband lost his job in 2009 and has been doing small side jobs just to get by, but now it's down to not being able to stay in our apartment any longer and I don't want to risk an eviction. Are there any family shelters in the state of Florida that someone can refer us to.
I am married with 3 small children and one on the way. Our building has been taken over by the bank and all tenants have 30 days to vacate. My husband has been out of work for almost 6 months and we have a child with cerebral palsy who does receive SSI. This however, is not enough to get us into a new place. Can anyone refer me to a shelter in Florida for families. We only need something temporarily until we are back on our feet again.
I am a 40 yr old woman. I have found myself homeless. I have children but they are with their father because he has a job. He is no longer willing to help me and asked that I find some where else to live. Where do I go? I am a Christian. I need help. I have no family here. I don't want to be far from my kids. I live in Cape Coral, FL
Heck of a job there, it abslouelty helps me out.
