What I've been hearing from homeless fathers is that there is not much out there in the way of help. They say if you're a man they want you to give up you kids until you get back on your feet. If you feel the way that I do, and I'm sure you do, that's not an option. I guess the reason is that most so called family shelters are geared towards single moms. Most shelters just will not put men and children in the same building. One local shelter will take a family and put the father in one building and the mother and children in another across the street.

I am a father of 3 i really have had it bad lately.Iam 30yrs. old lose my job about a year ago have been in jail have been on drugs but now i am trying so very hard to do the right things in my life .I have joined my church and i badtised 2 weeks ago.I have been staying in a hotal my mon has helped me she does what she can ,she works very hard every day to make sure i have something to eat,i really do not know what i would do without her..My time is up on sat.at the hotal my mon can no longer pay for a room i start a new job next week but i will have no where to stay i need help sometimes i think why am i here why???I am trying but it seem like i can not go ahead can anyone help??
