I'm sorry to hear that Antoria. You must have had some bad experiences in your life. You know, you can get help for that.
But I do agree with you as far as being VERY careful. Make sure you have a background check done and require/speak with personal references. I outline "best safety practices" on one of my two roommate locater websites that I own.
