I am a 48 yr old female who had been raising my granddaughter who is 4. I was given custody of her 3 yrs ago. I lost my house in may and on may 26th the state placed her in foster care. Hello Maryann and Donna...this is a bit unusual. My friend Joni's daughter Lindsey is in a Tampa hospital in the last stages of cancer. Joni needs to get down there to see her one last time, but she has no place to stay and no way to pay for it. The hospital won't allow her to stay there with Lindsey, and Lindsey's husband has holed up in their house with (!!!) a girlfriend (!!!). I've found someone to donate some frequent flier miles to get her from here to Tampa and back, but she really needs a place to lay her head down while she's going through this rough time. Please call the American Cancer Society in Tampa. They have a place Joni may be able to stay while she's in Tampa, free of charge.

My name is Kirk. I am a husband and a father of 2 boys. Matt is 26 months old and AJ is 14 months old. In a few days we will all be homeless. I lost my job in Feb and haven't found work since. I am only concerned with my wife and 2 boys having a place to stay. I know you where looking to help a woman with 1 child and we have 2. Is the room even still available.

I am a single mom who is homeless. I have two boys 10 and 12. We have been living out of hotel rooms until recently when all my money ran out. For the last week, we have been sleeping in my car and needless to say,getting very little sleep. I do not have a job; I do however apply everyday day online at the library. I live off my child support which is 400 a month and the food stamps we get is running out fast because ready made, no cook meals are expensive. My biggest concern is that my kids have not been in school for almost 6 months. I do not have an address that I can prove residency so the school board will not except them into regular school. I have been to metropolitian Ministries; and at the time had no car to get the proper paperwork to even qualify for their program which has a 2 month waiting list. I am pretty much out of options. I'm 24 yrs.old w/ a 2yr. old autistic son and we've recently become homeless.I've tried to get into shelters but it seems like there all full.I am also 2 mon. pregnant and going to give the baby up for adoption due to no income. I'm an animal lover of 24 yrs. and absolutly fine w/ your life choice. My sister has been w/ her partner for 4 yrs. and I've never seen her happier.God bless both of you for having such a big heart to do this for any complete stranger. thank you.
