I am a single parent of an 8 year old recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I JUST moved to Seattle LAST week, and we were supposed to share an apartment with a single father. He turned out to be someone who was not who he seemed...the situation is potentially dangerous and I am a little freaked out. Does anyone know where we can go? I don't know what to do. I just got here, I am trying to find work and just got listed with a temp agency, but haven't started working yet. I literally have $20 and two weeks of a roof over our heads. I don't know how to tell my son that we just came here and now we are about to be out on the street. Can someone please help me? Are there any housing programs for single parents? Is there anyone out there that would let us stay there for a month until I get some money saved up? Please help, please!
